   Rolando started wrestling his freshman year of high school (2001-2002).  He was Senior Varsity League Champion and considered the most promising wrestler of the year.  Rolando was the Sophomore year (2002-2003) Varsity League finalist and all league.  Senior Year (2003-2004) League Finalist, section qualifier and team Captain.  At this time Rolando began attending Oakdale MMA for kick boxing and Jiu-Jitsu.  Rolando won his first Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Tournament at Tiger Martial Arts.  During Rolando’s’ Senior year (2004-2005) he was the All-League Champion, All-League Team, San Joaquin South Delta Sub-Section Champion, and State Qualifier, Team Captain.  Continued Wrestling at Modesto Junior College Fall of 2005.  Rolando placed 4th in the Northern California Regionals, State Qualifier, Big 1 All Conference team, and was named Modesto Junior College Most Valuable Wrestler.  During Rolando’s Sophomore year at Modesto Junior College (2006), before injuring his knee he was ranked 3rd in the State before beating the number 1 ranked wrestler in the state
