On Saturday August 23rd Cage Combat Fighting Championships heads to Fresno with CCFC8 “Rumble in the Park” at the new Woodward Park Amphitheatre. 10 bouts will be featured that night; the main event will feature 6x UFC veteran ‘Mr. International’ Shonie Carter (41-17-7) vs. Tapout reality show star Matt Major (4-1). The co-main event will feature former Fresno State Wrestling standout Casey Olson (7-2) vs. Aaron Miller (5-3), Miller is currently on a 3 fight win streak and looks to make it 4 in a row.
Special Guest appearance and autograph signing session by Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell, also on hand will be the world famous Tapout Crew.
Cage Combat Fighting Bantamweight champion Rolando Velasco (5-0) will defend his belt against Fresno fighter David ‘Kid Dynamite’ Espinosa (5-2). Velasco holds wins against previous unbeaten fighters Darren “BC” Uyenoyama and Shawn Klarcyk. Both fighters bring a non-stop pace, and knock out power to their fights and will undoubtedly be one of the best fights of the night.

TWO TITLES CHANGE HANDS AT CCFC7 |

Santa Rosa, CA- Three titles were on the line this past Saturday night at Cage Combat Fighting Championships (CCFC) and two new champions were crowned. CCFC returned to the Grace Pavilion at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds on May 17th to an estimated crowd of 2,000 fans for a night of Mixed Martial Arts action.
In the main event Buddy Roberts from Reno Nevada fighting out of Ken Shamrock’s Lion’s Den stunned the local Heavyweight Champion and K-1 kickboxing superstar, Rick Cheek, with a rear naked choke just 52 seconds into the first round. Roberts shot in for a take down and quickly took Cheek’s back; from there Robert’s sunk in the choke which left Cheek unconscious.

IBN Sports Partners with Cage Combat Fighting Championships
Live Steaming Events Broadcast Over iBN Sports Network
Foothill Ranch, Calif. – April 26, 2008 – iBN Sports (Interactive
Broadcast Network Sports), a premiere Internet-based broadcast sports
television network, today announced that it has reached a 2-year agreement
to broadcast upcoming mixed martial arts events for Cage Combat Fighting
Championships (CCFC). Founded by brothers Tully and Todd Middendorp, CCFC
returns on Saturday May 17th to Grace Pavilion in Santa Rosa , California
with Mayhem, where it last saw action to a sold out crowd in February. The
upcoming event, in conjunction with MMA Jacked will be streamed
on May 23rd at http://www.ibnsports.com where fans can view the action for free.
